Plastic model (concat as plamodel) companies all over Japan gather to showcase their new products alongside with the marketing of their old ones. Among the exhibitions probably 2 companies had caught my eyes instantly .. Tamiya (of course I work here
) and Bandai. I was not expecting much from the Tamiya exhibit, but I was really surprised that they did very well. The presentation of the models were really cool and they had stages to demonstrate the new RC models and Mini 4WD (also surprisingly 4WD models still exist up to this point). There was a Mitsubishi EVO X RC model .. hehe my favorite car .. although I’m not planning to buy one in the near future because I have more things in priority (only if I have the money XD). Aside from car models, Tamiya also showcased battleship and aircraft models; I’m not particularly interested in them, however if they had an F-14 Tomcat .. it would be a different story.
Since we had only 1 hour to tour the whole building (we still need to go back to work afterwards) I divided my time to 3 parts .. one is viewing Tamiya models, Bandai models and the rest XD Moving on to Bandai section, of course you will see its army of Gundams from it’s first version until Gundam 00. I’m not particularly well versed with Gundams so I took random pictures of what I think is good to have. Probably the only Gundam I know by name is Gundam X. Alongside with Gundam models are the Macross Valkyrie models XD I’m a Macross fan eversince I watched “Ai wo Oboeteimasuka” during my elementary days (that time I didn’t even know that was called anime .. I loved the jets that transformed into robots). Serveral valkyrie models were displayed including the ones featured in Macross Frontier. I wish I could take one home .. however still can’t afford it (imma saving for Intuos 4 wide version).
The only thing that I wished was there was figma models. There were some; but not as much as I wanted it to be. But at least Kyou-chan (Clannad) was there !! Heaven was so kind to me, because at the moment I’m really all over Kyou-chan. I also saw figma models of K-ON and the remake version of Visual Key’s Little Busters.
Aywayz I’ll post the pictures after i get home ^^ !! jya genki de ne..
